Benjamin Ehrlich is the author of THE BRAIN IN SEARCH OF ITSELF (Farrar, Straus and Giroux). His short story “The Master Mourner” was included in THE BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES 2023. Other work has appeared in The Paris Review Daily, LitHub, Scientific American, Aeon, Nautilus, The Gettysburg Review, and New England Review. His first book, THE DREAMS OF SANTIAGO RAMÓN Y CAJAL was published by Oxford University Press. Ben is currently in residency at the Zen Center of Los Angeles.
